Our one hike into the canyon.

This shows some of the switchbacks of the South Kaibab Trail. Going down was way easier than coming back up!
At this point we've gotten down into the canyon a bit.
Taking another much needed break. Did I mention that this tired us out?
Prickly pear cactus was everywhere in the canyon.
This was our first view of our destination: Cedar Ridge, which was about a mile-and-a-half walk down into the canyon.
