- Heart doily
Heart doily [4/15/2003] Pattern Source: An ASN leaflet called Our Favorite Doilies (#1266). I was unable to find it on ASN's site (their stuff is now on Annie's Attic but it wasn't there either); however, Jennie Gaskin at Country Yarns may have some in stock. - herbgarden.jpg
Herb garden -- most of what you can see in this picture is basil, with the parsley in the left foreground corner. - herbgarden_001.jpg
Herb garden. Most of what you can see is basil, with some parsley in the foreground corner on the left. - Homespun Granny Square Afghan
[7/19/2002] I didn't use a pattern for this -- it's just basic granny squares made from Lion Brand Homespun yarn. - Mosaic Homespun Afghan
This is kind of a cool technique; it looks as if there's more than one color per row, but there's really not. Pattern Source: Mosaic Magic Afghans Made Easy by Lily Chin. Great book; there are lots of afghans done with this technique. - Men's Homespun turtleneck sweater
Pattern Source: The pattern came from Lion; it's called "The Big Easy Crochet Sweater" and it's available for free on Lion's website. - Brass horn wall hanging
Pattern Source: This is from the January 2000 issue of Crochet Fantasy (#137). To order call 800-877-5527 or check their website for back issues. - Carousel horse
This carousel horse is from a Herrschners kit. I thought it was adorable when I saw it in the magazine, and it was surprisingly easy to do. (But if you decide to try it, MARK YOUR ROUNDS! I had to pull out half the body because I didn't mark rounds and my poor horse started looking deformed!) My husband, Ray, mounted it using wood bits from a craft store. Pattern Availability: You can order this from the Herrschners website (search for "carousel"), or by calling them at (800)441-0838. - Carousel horse mobile
[1/30/2003] Pattern Source: A Herrschners kit. Try searching their site for "carousel horse". - Hummingbird filet
[6/16/2001] I thought this hummingbird was adorable, and I really think it looks nice on the blue background. Pattern Source: This comes from the book Heirloom Crochet Treasures, published by The Needlecraft Shop. They don't seem to have it on their website, however; it appears to be out of print. - Cardigan
Pattern Source: More Quick and Easy Crocheted Sweaters (Leisure Arts leaflet #2896). Country Yarns may also have it. - Cardigan (close-up)
See previous photo for pattern source. - Filet cat
Pattern Source: This design is by Elizabeth Hiddelson, and it can be purchased from Country Yarns. Just go to the "What We Sell" link, then click on page 4 of "Elizabeth Hiddelson's Crochet Originals." This pattern is in volume 41 on that list. - Filet cat
Pattern Source: The Tap-Dancing Lizard by Catherine Cartwright-Jones and Roy Jones. This is really a book of knitting-machine patterns, but as the charts are all 2-color, they are perfect for filet crochet. - Cat and Canary filet
[3/2/2001] Pattern Source: Sorry, this is another one I don't have an original source for.
