Naslovnica / House - before and after 14
- floors_008.jpg
This square of linoleum was on top of *another* square of linoleum by the front door. The black curve is where the rug used to end; they had a metal edging there. When we pulled up the carpet, one corner of the yellow stuff was visible under the brown. That was pulled up a bit further, as you can see in the picture, by one of the guys who came to give us an estimate on the refinishing. (It's all gone now, though.) - floors_011.jpg
Living room floor, before refinishing. Note the stains and worn spots. And the cat toys, but the floor guys can't do anything about those. :-) - floors_012.jpg
Another view of the living room floor. I suspect the previous owners had a couch against the wall; the light spot is probably the area in front where people put their feet when they sat. - floors_014.jpg
Kitchen floor. It was some kind of vinyl that always looked dirty. - kitchen_001.jpg
Kitchen wall, after wallpaper removal (but before repainting). Apparently, it was yellow. - kitchen_002.jpg

I have to wonder who actually thought this looked good. To me it just seems dingy and I've wanted to get rid of it since we first looked at the house. - newfloor1.jpg
The area by the front door, where the ugly linoleum was, after the refinishing. There's no evidence of it now. - newmbr2.jpg
