- "63" Afghan
Sampler afghan made of 63 squares, all with different patterns. The next few photos are close-ups of some of the squares. Pattern Source: Leisure Arts leaflet #555, "63 Easy-to-Crochet Pattern Squares Combine to Make an Heirloom Afghan" -- available from Country Yarns and anyplace else LA leaflets are sold. - "63" Afghan (close-up)

- "Amhra'n Gra'" (Love Song) sweater.
[12/7/2006] I made this sweater for Ray, out of Lion Brand Wool-Ease. This was one of the more complicated patterns I've done so far, with something like 6 different kinds of cables. It wasn't particularly difficult, though. And it was knitted in the round, which meant there was no sewing! Pattern Source: This pattern was designed by Bev Warner and is available from Knit Picks. - "Anastasia" afghan
[11/20/2005] I made this one for a friend. It was kind of a bear; the border is made separately from the afghan and then sewn on, and my gauge must have been off because the border was way too big. I managed to attach it anyway. Also, I ran out of yarn about 3/4 of the way into the border and bought a new skein...and the color was very obviously different despite the fact that it was a "no dye lot" yarn. Once I found the right shade, I had to rip back and redo it. Pattern Source: American School of Needlework's leaflet #1129, "Afghan Elegance" by Ann Kirtley. Country Yarns carries it. - "Casual Tee"
My first knitted project ever! Pattern Source: This came from FreePatterns.com; you can download it here (free registration required). It's called "Casual Tee", designed by Melissa leapman. I lengthened the sleeves. - "Lacy Pullover"
Lacy pullover. Pattern Source: Knit 'n Style issue #138, August 2005. I can't find a designer's name listed in the pattern. - "Martina"
[10/18/2005] My fifth knitted sweater. Pattern Source: This is from Adrienne Vittadini's Fall 2004 pattern book. - "Men's Crewneck Pullover"
My third knit project and the first one I made for someone besides myself. Pattern Source: This is from Leisure Arts' Weekend Favorites to Knit by Dale Rieves Potter. - "Milinda"
My fourth knit project, the most complicated pattern I've done to date. Pattern Source: This is from White Lies Designs, designed by Joan McGowan-Michael. - "Twists and Turns" mat
"Twists and Turns" mat [6/29/2004] This is one of those patterns that make me really admire the versatility of crochet. It wasn't easy (the magazine lists the skill level as "Top Expert"), but I love the ribbon-like appearance. Pattern Source: Magic Crochet magazine #150, June 2004. - "Twists and Turns" mat (close-up)

Ribbon pullover (my second project). Pattern Source: This was designed by Jill Ramos and is available from Tess' Designer Yarns. - (Yet another) Homespun mosaic afghan.
[2/19/2005] Another one for a friend, made from Lion Brand Homespun, colors Antique and Romanesque. Pattern Source: This comes from my favorite afghan book, Mosaic Magic: Afghans Made Easy by Lily Chin. This is the first pattern in the book, "Bargello."
