- Ornament close-ups: clothespin angel
Pattern Source: Leisure Arts leaflet #3028, Big Book of Little Angels, which can be ordered from Country Yarns or by calling (800) 526-5111. - Ornament close-up: satin ball cover
Pattern Source: The ornament covers are in the same issue of Favorite Classics Christmas Crochet as the hot-air balloon ornament. - Ornament close-up: snowflake and clothespin angel
Pattern Source: The angels all came from Leisure Arts leaflet #3028, Big Book of Little Angels, which can be ordered from their website, from Country Yarns, or by calling (800) 526-5111. All snowflakes are from ASN's 101 Snowflakes; Annie's Attic now handles distribution of ASN's publications. - Ornament close-up: ice skates and ornament cover
Pattern Source: The ornament covers are in the same issue of Favorite Classics Christmas Crochet as the hot-air balloon ornament. The ice skate pattern is here. - Carousel horse
This carousel horse is from a Herrschners kit. I thought it was adorable when I saw it in the magazine, and it was surprisingly easy to do. (But if you decide to try it, MARK YOUR ROUNDS! I had to pull out half the body because I didn't mark rounds and my poor horse started looking deformed!) My husband, Ray, mounted it using wood bits from a craft store. Pattern Availability: You can order this from the Herrschners website (search for "carousel"), or by calling them at (800)441-0838. - Mouse with Christmas lights
This adorable little guy is from the big Vanna collection book. I couldn't resist making him, he's so cute tangled up in his Christmas lights! Pattern Source: This book is not available except as a package kind of thing from Oxmoor House -- they send you two packets of patterns a month, each set costing $15, until the book is filled. The pattern might have been published in another Leisure Arts book, but I haven't seen it anywhere else. - Brass horn wall hanging
Pattern Source: This is from the January 2000 issue of Crochet Fantasy (#137). To order call 800-877-5527 or check their website for back issues. - Pineapple Christmas tree
[8/28/2002] Pattern Source: This came in a kit containing thread, beads, and a Styrofoam tree form to use for blocking. It should be available at Herrschners. Try searching for "pineapple tree" on their website. - Gingerbread house - front
[12/6/2002] Pattern Source: This pattern is from a House of White Birches leaflet called Crochet Gingerbread House, number 101061 - copyright 1996 by Rosanne Kropp. I was unable to find it on their site, so you may need to inquire with them to see if it is still in print. The leaflet says you can write to HoWB for a complete list of publications: Publications Listing, 306 East Parr Road, Berne, IN 46711. - Gingerbread house - left side

[1/30/2003] Pattern Source: A Herrschners kit. Try searching their site for "carousel horse". - Tiny chair
This tiny (only a couple inches high) Victorian chair was made with size-10 thread and stiffened with Stiffy. The chair legs are beads and pins. Pattern Source: A South Maid leaflet entitled Victorian Crochet Miniatures. It says, "Article J-24" and "Book 2413" on the front. Sorry, I'm not sure where I got this, but I think it might have been from Herrschners. - Carousel
Pattern Source: The doily pattern came from the April 1997 issue (#114) of Crochet Fantasy. I do not know if they sell back-issues, but you can call 800-877-5527 or visit their website to find out. The leaflet with the carousel itself, South Maid's Victorian Ponies and Bears, came from Herrschners crochet threads catalog, but I'm sorry to say I don't have the item number on hand. The number on the leaflet itself is Book 2414. Call 800-441-0838 to ask if Herrschners still carries it. Alternatively, you can write to: COATS & CLARK INC., 6900 Southpoint Dr. N., Jacksonville, FL 32216. NOTE: I designed the horses' saddles myself; for that pattern click here.
