[12/7/2006] I made this sweater for Ray, out of Lion Brand Wool-Ease. This was one of the more complicated patterns I've done so far, with something like 6 different kinds of cables. It wasn't particularly difficult, though. And it was knitted in the round, which meant there was no sewing! [9/23/2006] One of the reasons I wanted to learn to knit was to be able to do stuff like this. Similar things can be done with crochet, but usually you have to do front-post stitches, which make for a thick fabric. So when I found this pattern, I had to try it. Marble Arch. This was built for the entrance to Buckingham Palace but was moved to Hyde Park either to make room for an extension to the palace or because the royal coach wouldn't fit through it, depending on which story you believe. - london_528.jpg
