Shaded doily [4/11/2004] I was intrigued by the shading in this doily -- it's done with 3 strands of standard sewing thread, and when you change colors colors, you change one strand, do a round, change a second, do another round, and then change the third. It makes for a gradual color change, and looks really cool. Pattern Source: This is from the September 2003 issue of Crochet! magazine.
