- Pineapple pullover (close-up)
See previous photo for description and pattern source. - Thread purse
Pattern Source: The Filet Crochet Book. - Blue fuzzy sweater
[10/25/2003] I actually made this a couple years ago and just now noticed that I never put it on my page! I got this weird fuzzy blue yarn at a yarn sale in NJ (actually, I also got the wool-blend burgundy I used in the sweater just above this at the same sale). I didn't include a detail picture here because the yarn is so fuzzy that you really can't see the individual stitches anyway. Pattern Availability: I did this so long ago that I'm not absolutely sure (and the stitches are so hard to see that I can't tell by looking), but I think this pattern was from Leisure Arts leaflet #2514, Back to Basics: Crochet Pullovers and Cardigans. - Chenille backpack
Pattern Source: ASN leaflet #1230, Chenille Purses. Annie's Attic now distributes ASN's publications. - Basketweave pullover (detail)
See previous photo for description. - Baby basketweave pullover
Baby gift for a friend. Pattern Source: Oxmoor House's Vanna's Afghan and Crochet Favorites collection. This book is not available except as a package kind of thing from Oxmoor House -- they send you two packets of patterns a month, each set costing $15, until the book is filled. The pattern might have been published in another Leisure Arts book, but I haven't seen it anywhere else. - Ornament close-up: ice skates and ornament cover
Pattern Source: The ornament covers are in the same issue of Favorite Classics Christmas Crochet as the hot-air balloon ornament. The ice skate pattern is here. - Aran sweater
[10/25/2003] This is more of a burgundy color than it looks in the picture. I love these cable-type patterns that look like knitting. The pattern here called for sport-weight yarn, but I used worsted and didn't have to change the pattern much since I crochet pretty tightly to begin with. Pattern Availability: Another from Red Heart Aran Classics, leaflet #105035. Their phone number is (800) 526-5111. - Variegated summer pullover
[8/24/2002] Summer pullover done in a now-discontinued variegated Luster Sheen. Pattern Source: April 1995 issue of Crochet Fantasy. Their phone number is (800) 877-5527 if you'd like to call and see if they sell the back issue; you can also visit their website. In fact, it's the exact same pattern as the blue top shown elsewhere in this album. - Blue summer pullover
Pattern Source: This is from the April 1995 issue of Crochet Fantasy. Call (800) 877-5527 or visit their website to see if they sell the back issue. - Ornament close-up: snowflake and clothespin angel
Pattern Source: The angels all came from Leisure Arts leaflet #3028, Big Book of Little Angels, which can be ordered from their website, from Country Yarns, or by calling (800) 526-5111. All snowflakes are from ASN's 101 Snowflakes; Annie's Attic now handles distribution of ASN's publications. - Headpiece
Since Laura did not want a veil, she asked me to make her a headpiece, and I found a lacy barrette patterb and then made some white crochet flowers to sew onto it. She then dangled ribbons and pearls, and added a few pearl sprays to the edges, and the result was one of the most beautiful headpieces I've ever seen. And thanks to her generosity, I ended up wearing it at my own wedding two years later! Pattern Source: Barrette: Vanessa Ann's Plain and Fancy Crochet. The pattern for the flowers on the barrette is in the ASN Bridal Thread Crochet leaflet; Annie's Attic now distributes ASN's publications. - Cardigan (close-up)
See previous photo for pattern source. - Brass horn wall hanging
Pattern Source: This is from the January 2000 issue of Crochet Fantasy (#137). To order call 800-877-5527 or check their website for back issues. - Men's Aran sweater (back)
