- Fishing bears
This "Bear Pair" has a music button hidden under the large "rock." Pattern Source: Leisure Arts leaflet #2474, Musical Cute Couples to Crochet. The leaflet is also available from Country Yarns. - Fishing bears (opposite side view)
See previous photo for description and pattern source. - Billie Bunny
Pattern Source: Crochet World magazine, April 1997 issue, published by the House of White Birches. To inquire about purchasing back issues, write to P.O. Box 9014, Big Sandy, TX 75755, or call 800-829-5865. - Bunny
Pattern Source: March/April 1997 issue of Quick & Easy Crochet magazine. I do not know if back issues of Quick & Easy Crochet can be ordered. If you wish to try, the address in the front of the magazine is P.O. Box 7129, Red Oak, IA 51591-0129. - Bunnies on seesaw
The seesaw has a music button hidden in its base. These bunnies were very quick to make since they're only about 6" tall; I finished the whole thing -- bunnies, clothing and seesaw -- in less than a week. The seesaw is made of a plastic canvas base (filled with navy beans to give it weight; the book suggested unpopped popcorn, but the beans were what I had and they work fine), and a ruler covered in plastic canvas for the board part. The whole thing has a crocheted cover, of course. Everything else is just plain worsted-weight yarn stuffed with polyester fiberfill, including the seesaw handles. They are now happily see-sawing in my mom's house. Pattern Source: Leisure Arts leaflet #2474, Musical Cute Couples to Crochet. The leaflet is also available from Country Yarns. - Seesaw bunnies (other side view)
See previous photo for description and pattern source. - Bed doll
Pattern Source: ASN's Beautiful Bed Dolls leaflet (#1179). Annie's Attic now distributes ASN's publications. - Penguin
Pattern Source: This was actually a kit from Herrschners. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the kit on their website, but they often "temporarily" discontinue items and later bring them back. If I see it again, I'll be sure to post the item number here. 09/27/2000 - a lady named Donna wrote me that she has the same pattern and says that if you want a copy, you might try writing to: TMA, Inc. 206 W 140th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90061 and ask for #704 Penguin. She doesn't know if they still have it, but if you must make a penguin it might be worth a shot! - Fuzzy teddy bear
This teddy bear is made from mohair-look yarn, and I made the scarf out of blue chenille. Pattern Source: Leisure Arts leaflet #2760, A Year of Teddy Bears, Also available from Country Yarns. - Tiny teddy
This little teddy bear is only about 4 inches tall. Pattern Source: Lion Brand Yarns has the bear pattern free on their site; just search for "tiny teddy." The dress pattern is original and can be found here. - Tiny teddy 2
See previous photo for description and pattern source. - Mutant Taz
[7/19/2004] I am horrible at sewing, so I think Taz looks a bit like a mutant, but since he's for a 2-year-old, I doubt his new owner will notice. Pattern Source: Looney Tunes: Bugs & Pals to Crochet leaflet from Leisure Arts. - [9/16/2004] Baby gift for a friend's shower. I thought the "bunny in bunny slippers" concept was too cute for words!
- [9/16/2004] Back of bunny-slippers bunny. See previous photo for pattern source.
- [12/11/2006] Dachshund
Dachshund Pattern Source: Fall Special 1991 issue of Crochet World magazine.
